Excerpts from the CDDM’s bylaws:

General definition

Members must abide by the organization’s aims and philosophy. Salaried employees or board members of health & social services or other establishments in the public health system that provide mental health services cannot become members.

Territorial definition

Any adult who lives or receives services in the Montérégie region can become a regular member of the CDDM. However, only members who reside in Montérégie can sit on the board of directors. Adults who live in Montérégie can also become sympathizing members of the CDDM.

Regular member

Any adult who lives or has lived with a mental health problem or has suffered abuse at the hands of psychiatry.

Sympathizing member [Friend of the CDDM]

Any adult wishing to get involved and support the CDDM and its cause.
